Fingerprinting

Obtain your fingerprints for background checks related to employment applications

Fingerprinting Service

Background checks are often required for jobs, co-op, internships, or other experiential learning opportunities, volunteering opportunities, passport applications or renewals, and other government related endeavors.  As a part of these checks, a copy of your fingerprints may be needed for security measures.

NUPD is pleased to provide free fingerprinting services to NU students, staff and faculty, as well as local Boston community members.  NUPD’s enhanced fingerprint service now utilizes an electronic fingerprint system to take your fingerprints.

Fingerprinting services are by appointment only on the following days/times each week at Northeastern Police Headquarters:

Tuesday, Thursday
10am – 12pm
5pm – 7pm

716 Columbus Ave, 100 CP
Boston, MA

Book your appointment by using the below scheduling calendar.

Two forms of photo identification will be required at the time of the fingerprint service – one of which must be a form of government ID (examples can include, but not limited to, a driver’s license, MA ID card, passport, Northeastern University ID).

Be sure to bring your fingerprint card, which you can obtain from your advisor, your prospective employer, or the agency requesting your fingerprints.  Do not fill in, or sign the fingerprint cards prior to your arrival.
