NU Safety Support Network

Presented by the NU Police & Office of Emergency Management

Description

The Northeastern University Safety Support Network is a program that engages staff and faculty across the university in their preparedness on the individual- and department-level. The Introduction & Initial Training Experience allows participants to enter the program and learn more about the opportunities to be safe on campus and beyond. The courses are held in the NU Emergency Operations Center at 160 Renaissance Park (Accessible from the Exterior of the Building). Please use the link below to add your name to the next cohort. Sessions will take place from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Lunch will be provided. Additional sessions are added often.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the Introduction & Initial Training Experience, participants will be able to apply basic first aid knowledge in a practical setting as well as fire safety and evacuation procedures. Participants will be able to lead their department and coach others on safety resources learned during this course and through the active connection to the NU Office of Emergency Management. Once completed, participants will also be able to participate in other exercises and opportunities as part of the Safety Support Network, if desired.
